Warranty Coverage
Mingren Jewelry offers a Lifetime Warranty on all jewelry against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase.
This warranty specifically covers:
- Manufacturing defects: Faulty construction or assembly issues that arise from the original craftsmanship.
- Material defects: Imperfections in the precious metal setting that are a direct result of the manufacturing process (e.g., porosity, incorrect alloy).
- Loose gemstones/jadeite (due to setting): If a gemstone or jadeite becomes loose within its setting due to a manufacturing defect in the setting itself.
What is NOT Covered
This warranty does NOT cover:
- Normal Wear and Tear: Scratches, dents, tarnishing, stretching of chains, dulling of metal, or general wear from daily use.
- Damage Due to Misuse or Neglect:
- Accidental Damage: Chipping, breaking, or scratching of gemstones/jadeite caused by impact (e.g., knocking against hard surfaces).
- Physical Damage: Dents, bends, breaks, or cracks in the metal settings due to impact, force, or excessive stress.
- Exposure to Chemicals: Damage caused by contact with chemicals, perfumes, lotions, household cleaners, swimming pools, or hot tubs, which can erode metal and dull gemstones.
- Improper Storage: Damage from not storing jewelry properly (e.g., storing pieces together causing scratches).
- Loss or Theft: This warranty does not cover lost or stolen items or missing gemstones/jadeite.
- Third-Party Alterations: Damage caused by repair, resizing, or alteration performed by anyone other than Mingren Jewelry or our authorized service providers. Any such unauthorized work will void this warranty.
- Natural Characteristics of Gemstones/Jadeite: The warranty covers the integrity of the setting, but not the inherent characteristics of natural stones that may be susceptible to damage (e.g., natural inclusions, cleavage points in gemstones that can lead to chipping if impacted).
How to Claim Warranty Service?
If you believe your jewelry has a manufacturing defect covered by this warranty, please follow these steps:
- Contact Us: Email our customer service team at hello@mingrenjewelry.com within the warranty period.
- Provide Information: Include your order number, a detailed description of the issue, and clear photos or videos of the defect.
- Return Authorization: Our team will review your claim and provide instructions for return authorization, if applicable.
- Secure Return: Once authorized, securely package your item along with its original certificate(s) and proof of purchase. We recommend using a traceable, insured shipping method as we are not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
- Inspection: Upon receipt, our expert jewelers will inspect the item to determine if the damage is due to a manufacturing defect.
Warranty Service Process
- Defect Confirmed: If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Mingren Jewelry will, at its sole discretion, repair the item or replace it with an identical or comparable piece. This service will be provided free of charge.
- Non-Defect: If the damage is not deemed a manufacturing defect (e.g., normal wear, accidental damage), we may offer repair services at a reasonable cost. You will be informed of any charges before work begins.
- Shipping for Service: You are responsible for shipping costs to send the item to us for warranty service. Mingren Jewelry will cover the return shipping costs for confirmed warranty repairs/replacements. For non-warranty repairs, return shipping costs will be your responsibility.
- Turnaround Time: The repair or replacement timeframe will vary depending on the nature of the issue and will be communicated to you upon inspection.
General Terms
- This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied.
- Mingren Jewelry’s liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective item.
